Last weekend, we had the opportunity to participate in the Associations Fair in Almocita, an event that brought together numerous organizations, groups, and individuals committed to the social and environmental transformation of our region.
For Semillistas, it was a particularly enriching experience. From early in the morning, our booth was visited by many people interested in learning more about our work in reforestation, ecological restoration, and biodiversity conservation. We were able to share our vision, explain some of the projects we are developing, and highlight the different ways to collaborate with our association.
One of the most valuable aspects of the day was the opportunity to make new contacts and strengthen relationships with like-minded initiatives. We had the opportunity to talk with the Serval team about potential collaborations related to wildlife and biodiversity, as well as to learn about other local projects with which we hope to carry out joint activities in the future.
In addition, we collected numerous contacts from people interested in participating in future volunteer activities, attending talks, or collaborating in various ways with Semillistas. Seeing the interest and enthusiasm our work generates encourages us to keep growing and improving.
We were also pleased to see how our booth continues to evolve. With each event, we learn something new and find better ways to communicate our work, making scientific information more accessible and clearly demonstrating the impact that ecosystem restoration can have.
The day didn’t end there. We took advantage of the event coinciding with the Ecoencuentro to get to know some of the participating initiatives. It was an excellent opportunity to discover inspiring projects, exchange experiences, and continue building networks with organizations that share similar values.
Additionally, we had the chance to present Semillistas again at this event, several years after our first participation. It was exciting to see how both our project and the network of initiatives working toward a more sustainable future have continued to grow during this time.
We left with new ideas, new collaborations on the horizon, and the satisfaction of having shared a day full of learning, dialogue, and collective building. We will continue working to strengthen these alliances and keep sowing the seeds of the future alongside all the people and organizations that believe in the regeneration of our ecosystems and communities.
